Same job, better brief
Vague
Write a marketing plan.
Specified
You are a careful marketing lead. Context: a 6-person coffee roaster sells to offices and a Saturday stall. Task: draft a one-page strategy. Constraints: tag every claim as fact, hypothesis, or needs a source. Do not invent testimonials. Output: audience, offer, three messages, one channel to try for two weeks, and two risks.

Beginner to power user
01
Beginner
You can open Gemini and say what you want without freezing.
02
Confident
Your prompts name the audience, the task, and the shape of the answer.
03
Advanced
You research, write, and market with a check for facts and voice.
04
Power user
You keep a reusable system and you still sign the work.
The problem, then the practice
Most people poke the chat box
They ask a vague question, get a fluent paragraph, and either trust it or give up. The work does not get faster. The mistakes get smoother.
This course installs a method
Every lesson follows learn, demonstrate, practice, challenge, apply. You build a planner, a research workflow, a content pipeline, a marketing strategy, a simple web page, and a personal Gemini system. Then you choose a capstone.
What you will be able to do
- Explain what Gemini is, what a model can and cannot know, and when a normal search is the better tool.
- Navigate the Gemini app and recognize which Workspace features depend on your plan.
- Write prompts with role, context, task, constraints, and a defined output.
- Turn a weak prompt into a strong one, then debug a bad answer instead of starting over.
- Run a personal productivity system for planning, email, meetings, and decisions.
- Research a topic with a source-aware workflow and spot uncertainty before you act on it.
- Build study plans and use Socratic questioning to actually learn, not just collect summaries.
- Create content with a pipeline from idea to a human edit, and avoid generic AI voice.
- Draft a marketing strategy for a real or practice business: audience, offer, message, and channel.
- Read screenshots, charts, product photos, and documents, then turn them into a decision memo.
- Use Gemini to explain, draft, and debug simple web code even if you are not a developer.
- Chain prompts, demand structured outputs, and install a quality-control step.
- Assemble a personal Gemini operating system: master prompts, research, writing, and review.
- Apply a safety routine for privacy, copyright, bias, and high-stakes decisions.
- Choose between Gemini and other assistants based on where your work already lives, not hype.
- Finish a capstone project with a checklist, a critique, and a revision pass.
- Sit a scored power-user exam and read your result against a clear band.
- Keep a prompt library you can reuse on Monday morning.

Questions
Is this an official Google course?
No. Mastering Gemini AI is an independent academy. Gemini is a Google product. Screens, model names, and plan limits change, and the lessons tell you when to confirm a feature in the product.
Do I need a paid Gemini or Workspace plan?
No. You can finish the course on the free Gemini app. Some Workspace, Deep Research, video, and agent features depend on your edition. Lessons mark those as optional.
Will Gemini do the work for me?
It will draft, structure, and speed up parts of the work. You still decide, edit, and verify. The course is built around that split.
How long does it take?
The path is 10 levels. A focused student can move through a level in a few sittings. The capstone is a real project, so budget extra time there. Your progress is saved in this browser.
Is the certificate accredited?
No. The completion record shows how you scored on the exam and whether you finished the capstone checklist. It is not a university degree and not a Google certification.
Can I use the prompts with another assistant?
Yes. The prompting, verification, and workflow lessons transfer. Product steps that mention Gmail, Docs, Drive, or NotebookLM are specific to Google’s tools.
Your journey from AI beginner to Gemini Power User starts now.
Gemini can help you work faster and think more systematically. It will not replace your judgment. Bring a real task from this week.
