After the lessons
A roadmap you can still use in month two
The point is not to finish a progress bar. The point is a way of working you can repeat on a Tuesday when nobody is grading you.
01
Beginner
Levels 1 and 2
- Open a fresh chat for a new job.
- Notice when an answer could be invented.
- Rewrite one vague prompt with role, context, task, constraints, and output.
02
Confident user
Levels 3 to 5
- Run a weekly planning prompt and override what does not fit.
- Research with sources you open, not with a summary of the web.
- Publish nothing until you have added a specific detail only you know.
03
Advanced user
Levels 6 to 8
- Tag business claims as fact, hypothesis, or needs a source.
- Quote what an image actually shows before you interpret it.
- Ship a tiny page you can explain without the model in the room.
04
Power user
Levels 9 and 10, then the exam
- Chain prompts and check the handoff.
- Keep a written system: master, research, writing, and a hostile review.
- Finish one capstone and revise the weakest rubric row.
The next 30 days
- Two real tasks a week, not practice topics you do not care about.
- Retire one prompt that produced generic work.
- Improve one prompt that almost worked, and save it in the library.
- Verify one number outside the chat before you send it to anyone.
- Do not buy another AI subscription until this rhythm exists.
